Some people think that the decision of the Spaniards may just have cost us the war on terror, that it will do irreparable harm to the Spaniards and to the rest of us. That makes them disappointed and angry and afraid.

Almost right, I would agree that we are disappointed, and angry, and afraid, but I don't think the decision of the Spaniards has cost the United States our war on terrorism.

I think it may well have fatal repercussions in Europe.

I don't think that we here in the US are in any more danger than we already were. Every day I accept the fact that today may be the day that I die, which isn't so abnormal for a woman in her 50s. But I also accept the fact that today may be the day that my husband and children may die. We aren't going to run away in fear, we will continue to live our lives as we always have.

I doubt if it's possible for the terrorists to feel any more hatred and rage towards the United States than they already do.

I do think the actions of the new Spanish government will embolden terrorists in Europe to kill more people in Europe, and for that I am genuinely regretful.
