As sales continue to grow, however, Middleby has all but avoided expanding its payroll. Why? ...labor costs are rising faster than inflation. In 2003, total compensation costs rose 3.9% from year-ago levels. Consumer prices, meanwhile, increased 2.3%.

South Korea was to have the third largest foreign contingent in Iraq.

South Korea has cancelled a plan to send troops to the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk next month, saying it is concerned about security in the area.


And in South Korea, firefighters don't enter burning buildings, either. They might get hurt!
