All three countries have, in the last few days, gone from solid unequivocal support of Bush's war, to less-than-full support. The trend is clear. The coalition of the bribed and bullied, never large, is evaporating.

And they are merely following Bush's lead. Bush has instructed our army to "reposition" so that casualties are minimized. We are dis-engaging from the battle, with the enemy undefeated. This is happening, long before our Quisling Iraqis are ready to replace us. So, this amounts to the first stage of a withdrawal, leaving the enemy in control of the ground. Why should other nations stay, when we are leaving?
