thanks Laura. Again, I am not suggesting massive protections for all industries. I believe some outsourcing is probably smart. I believe in trade.

But, I don't believe that many of our trading partners would allow their own future industries to be gutted by the US. Say France or Japan for example. Or Canada.

I know in Canada, for example (and we are all NAFTA buddies now - which I have few problems with BTW) - US writers cannot just sell to any Canadian publisher. Many have restrictions that require them to say publish 75% Canadian writer content. I know someone that has run into this.

I was just suggesting that if we see massive outsourcing outflows - we can do something to try to change this - WTO and the rest be damned...

We run the economy in the US for the benefit of US citizens. 99% of the people will not, and cannot move from the US to other countries - and why should we?

So, it is up to all of us to make this economy the best that we can.
