And yet the occasional conspiracy vortex can still appear out of thin air and suck in even the wary! Thanks for the psychological insight. I am no conspiracy theorist. As an agnostic who cannot even believe in God for lack of proof, I cannot possibly claim Kubrick was indeed involved in taking "moon photos", or that Bush was the "mastermind behind 9/11", etc. I have only pointed out to the possibility - there is certainly motive (space race and the need to succeed), there is the capability (as anyone who has seen 2001 Space Odyssey can testify), there is odd reclusivity of Kubrick (wouldn't go out of his home for years). I also watched a documentary which looked serious but that you say is a joke. If that is the case, the likelihood of this possibility being true is lower, that's all. Assigning a probability to this that is higher than the zero (i.e. disproven) conspiracy theory of "Face on Mars" etc does not make me a "conspiracy theorist", I hope you agree. A similar example I can think of is the "Did English Royal family kill Princess Diana?" theory. There was MOTIVE: She was with a Muslim who is related to one of the larger gun smugglers of this planet. The royal family would probably not like being related to this guy, if ever, as it looked likely, they were to marry. They also had the MEANS to do it, if they wanted to. However, there is no PROOF. Diana has apparently sent to her butler saying Charles wants to kill her, but that just shows she was feeling threatened, and is not proof that he did indeed arrange for her death. So, in this case as well, I think it is possible that the English royal family may have arranged for Diana's death. But do I believe this happened? No, because I don't know, I have not seen proof. I hope that clarifies for you a little bit what I was trying to say about something being "possible".
