I am completely debt free, I retired at age 47 and paid off my mortgage, only once in my life did I finance an automobile (why pay the bank interest?), rather I started with an old car cash, saved the monthly payment for 3 years the bought a new one CASH and did that every time the rest of my life. Luckily for me, right before the stock market crash I put my entire IRA in a MM. 1/2 my other investable assets I put into fixed income securities, I still took a SHELLACKING with my other half in equitable securities BUT at least I survived. Its coming back now pretty good.
Anyone who says it cant be done I say BS. I never inherited anything, I merely saved regularly and continually my entire life. jdn
