Islam has what is called a Sharia. That is against the principles of democracy in which laws are made ny the people and they change with changing times. The Sharia is based on the societal conditions of 600 A.D.

Tell the Christian right we're a melting pot of all religions. They don't agree. If you gave them their way they'd declare war on other religions. My cousins are born again and think Mormons are the root of all evil. Not to mention Jews, Catholics, Methodists, Unitarians and Muslims are beyond evil. Almost as ghastly as agnostics or (gasp!) athiests. It's all a buncha delusional thinking of course. But they have a solid political machine which GW will always kowtow to. As well he should if he needs real life middleclass foot-soldiers for his corporate special interest cash for trash lobbying operation.
