An advanced degree in physics is no guarantee of having common sense. While you may dispute the technique of the author who did the fuel analysis (and I frankly found it making some assumptions I might not have), one thing that you cannot dispute is the photographs of live human beings on the floors that were struck by the jet which show them moments before the collapse began. Assuming that humans would die once they spent more than a couple minutes in a toxic environment with a temperature over, say 120 C., one can safely say that live humans in the immediate vicinity of the collapsing levels of the WTCs pretty much shoot down the theory that the floor trusses were capable of having reached such a temperature where tensile strength would have been lost and the connections to the outer columns broken. I think the jury is still out. I've reviewed the PBS data and I find it unconvincing. You do realize, of course, that PBS is now firmly in the grip of the same fine propagandists who bring us such government information as Voice of America and Radio Marti, do you not? And how much of the real truth about the U.S. government has VOA or Radio Marti told their listeners in the last few decades? Have they told their audiences about the subterfuges carried out by the C.I.A., Office of Special Plans, National Endowment for Democracy, Special Forces, Rangers, NRO, NSA, DIA or any of the other dozen covert agencies identified to date? I don't think so. You want me to trust PBS? You are epitomizing naivete. Son, I got a bridge I'd like to sell you....
