So, if there's no major upsets from here on out, in theory anyway, the $1M might be won this year by someone.

I think I detect a flaw in your argument. By my definition, Michigan State and Florida are major upsets. Everyone with a perfect score has already picked major upsets and are likly to pick additional upsets. If from now on, all the top seeds win they will lose. If there are some upsets in the next round then these perfect scorers might have a chance.

When ever I get excited, I always find one person on the leader board whose picks guarantee that I can't win. You know, whose remaining picks are exactly the same as mine except for one first round game that I missed and he or she didn't. Then I remember how easy it is to prove that it is 100 times more likely that someone who has already won the lottery will win it again before you (if you play) or I do.
