Hi IQBAL LATIF; I had to laugh out loud when I read: "He said so far there was no close fighting. He said the distance between the terrorists and the security forces where small arms were being used was about half a kilometre and where heavy weapons were being used it is longer."

This goes to show how it happens that in modern combat, something like 200,000 rounds are expended to produce a single KIA. Given that each individual soldier only carries something like 500 rounds into battle, one can understand how it is that so few people are killed in situations where neither side becomes spooked and tries to run.
