OK, this could kill Kerry's nomination. Hoover had informants at the Veteran's meeting where they voted on killing US Senators. Kerry has flipped on being there. Dammit, he participated in a plot to assassinate our leaders, lied about it for years, and now expects to be elected President? Where the hell is the major media? NY Sun. - From: LindyBill

Would you show me where the material you posted in big caps says what the above claims it does?

It does say this:

According to Mr. Nicosia, the FBI documents and other records do not include any direct reference to the assassination plot.

No assassination plot in the FBI documents. Surely an assassination plot would have been considered important enough to "include" in a report if an assassination plot had been discovered.

Somebody, not Kerry, persons not specified, the number of them espousing this position not specified, was reported to have wanted a "drastic move toward more violent actions," according to some informant. And it says that "Participants say the plot was voted down, and several say they remember Mr. Kerry speaking and voting against it." So maybe those eye witnesses to something that happened 31 years ago forgot to mention it to the FBI at the time? Maybe so.

The extend of Kerry's "participation" was, it seems, if it happened, opposition and resignation.

Please post the link in which LB claims that Kerry "participated in a plot to assassinate our leaders."

The mistake that the Kerry camp has made is that they compound one lie with another.

Earlier in the week, some aides to Mr. Kerry suggested that because he appeared on a PBS “Firing Line” broadcast with William F. Buckley on November 14, 1971, Mr. Kerry could not have attended the Kansas City gathering. But that contention also disintegrated yesterday on closer examination.

I find it incredible that Kerry indicates that
the meetings were 33 years ago and how could he
possibly remember, yadda yadda yadda.

Gee, does that mean assassination plots were
discussed so often that he couldn't differentiate
one meeting from another???

I suspect that anyone would remember discussion
of an assassination plot. He just doesn't want to
confess to being there because he failed to
blow the whistle.

A failure which should be of concern to every
thinking voter.
