No, the Yk and NWT have no claims or claim maps. It's every man for himself. What you do is camp out in a certain area and shoot every interloper and helicopter that tries to land. After one year you have a meeting and declare yourself king of that area, and challenge anyone who disagrees to come out side the tent and settle it by axes or drinking whiskey until the weaker one gives up. It's the far north so people have to do it differently. There are no real rules. There is no gold way up there anyway, so it is not important. EC<:-}
