NY Sun by the way aint the NYTimes by any stretch so beware of believing all you read. Mike

No, it isn't. But the sources they are quoting are legit. The reason Kerry is now admitting being there is that the FBI has written reports from the meeting that they got from informants. Not one, but several. This may turn out to be unprovable, but it looks very bad for him at the moment.

When I attended anti-war rallies, back in the old days as an LSU student, turns out in retrospect that the people who were advocating the craziest stuff, like burning down ROTC buildings, were informers and infiltrators.

I went to several SDS meetings, but never joined SDS because I wanted to go to med school. In retrospect, it probably would have made it hard to get into law school, as well. But, even so, turns out in retrospect that the SDS at LSU was run by the informants.

Very weird times. I've posted before about having to take a loyalty oath before being allowed to take a work-study job. I had several work-study jobs: washing glassware for the veterinary school; cataloguing herps for the herpetology museum; and cataloguing miscellania (bones, potsherds) for the archeology department. Why I had to certify that I was not and never had been a member of the Communist party escapes me, but I had no problem with doing so. It was true.
