Bosque del Apache is wildlife refuge about 10 miles south of Socorro New Mexico sidecanyon.com

The image of the snow geese was shot in RAW with a Canon 10D with a 400mm lens with 1.4 teleconverter on March 10 at about 8 am. It was shot at 1/1000 at f8 at ISO 200. It was shot as one of a series handheld - I was unable to shoot birds on the wing with a tripod even tho I did try. I had never shot birds in flight with film with any success previously. Digital is really a great help and the 1.6 mag factor of the 10D didn't hurt either.

Thanks for your kind remarks, Suma.
