I am a master at pratfalls, but for a joke, I might blame it someone. Tone is missing there. be that as it may, let us not argue the point? And I'm still on the home land. long long story, but a bit like that isolation, small town thing going on here. We finally might have a buyer for the house here. But the husband is in charge of negotiations and he is a chest-beating, abrasive man from California (no offense) who doesn't speak the language. He never says Sir or Ma'am for one thing. lol. But he is stay-at-home dad. His wife is an Alabama girl made good. I've only met her or talked with once. Gorgeous and self-effacing. What a combo. I asked where she was from and she said, "north of here. I'm from inbred coal country. I'm the only one who made it out and my friends there say I must be the only one who didn't drink the water." I did see her a second time. She was outside and I watched her from the window. From there I could feel the love she felt for the land. For the gardens. She is finishing her internship in another state and will be a rich doc come May. But the decision is down to me. But they aren't rich yet. Not to be able to buy this place. So my parents have personal loans in the bargain. But can a chest-thumping boy who doesn't say Ma'am take over as the "rich person" in town, and take care of his "family" around him? I dunno. Will he remember the kindness done him to help his wife have her dream, or not even see it as a kindness among family, but as his due and what he got by bullying? (and he has bullied) he so doesn't speak the language of rural south. And maybe I should ask how he feels about gay marriage. <wink> Oh, and the barn burned down. Got right up to the house. That was exciting. If not for our police neighbor getting a call at 3am and seeing the flames, and calling a neighbor to call us... I don't know, Ish. It was right to house and us still snoozing. We might not be here. It was way close. So how are you?
