Very well written: "Kerry voted for a version of the legislation that required Bush to pay for the appropriation, instead of applying it to our children's debt - that is, Bush would have to cancel some tax cuts for the wealthy. That version was voted down. Then the Republican version was voted on. It provided no means to pay for the $87 billion except adding it to the debt. Kerry voted against it."

As clear as you explained Kerry's position, it is too complicated for some. Did you know the Nazis banned the semicolon? They only wanted simple concepts; they argued complicated thoughts were too difficult to understand.

Am I correct that that $87 million was a supplemental to the budget, resulting from the Bush Administration not wanting the amounts known in the original version?

Can you back up your explanation? I doubt you can...

The wealthy pay more in taxes percentage wise, why not have a bigger tax break for them? Remember, it's not the government's money, it belongs to the people who earned it themselves...
