Hi Pezz, Yesterday's Report: I will come clean. I bought back the other half of the gold, on a Saturday yet. I could not help myself. It was as if some Force was, well, forcing my hand on the keyboard, tap, tap and tap.

"Confirmation. You are saved, Player One !"

I feel much better, although the stuff may drop to 350.

But, I feel much better. For I have sinned, and have now righted a wrong.

Chugs, Jay

Hello Pezz, for whatever reason, I cannot click through "respond" on any post direct addressed to me. SI has a problem and we suffer for it.

As you know I have been buying LEAP puts for own account to wager on the possibility of a horrific decline that will perhaps serve to energize the bulls to reverse direction or shatter me of my beliefs.

This is not a "Report" because it does not impact my own portfolio, but I do manage 6 folks' portfolios and as they are on-shore USA investors with on-shore accounts, I am able to buy the following for them:

finance.yahoo.com at 21.68-23.55/shr
finance.yahoo.com at 27.55-29.89/shr
finance.yahoo.com at 53.63/shr

I have been managing these accounts since 1996-7 and do so in a manner that is consistent with my own account, although without the more exotic picks.

Chugs, Jay

Hello Pezz, Tonight’s Report: I peeled off about 26% of my Vermilion Energy in exchange for CAD 17.97/unit, or a 38% capital gain. They were purchased at no more than CAD 12.99/unit, and had yielded 12.9% net distribution over the holding period. Total gain is thus 50.9% gain in CAD terms, plus a rise of CAD of say 20+% …

Vermilion recently unloaded their Trinidad gas field on BG Group. I figure I should take some profit so that they can be deployed elsewhere (possibly into coal fields), and I can perhaps avoid some Canadian withholding tax by taking capital gains via selling of shares as opposed to waiting for extraordinary distributions (management may just use the sales proceeds to buy other stuff).

Chugs, Jay
