My parents loved nerds. But really nice girls are often attracted to the wild ones. Luckily for my parents, I acted out my fantasies on paper rather than in reality. I wrote a really dramatic story about a nice girl dating the boy from across the tracks despite her parents' objections. I thought it was really good. It was full of angst and persecution and wronged lovers. I was surprised to see it had been done by some guy named Shakespeare first. My best friend said mine was better, though.
