jims, no offense ..... but sometimes you crack me up. I really do get a kick out of your posts.

I often wonder if you ever 'not' worry. I guess when it comes to a person's money maybe this is an acceptable approach.

Re your <I see as the optimum purchase target point -... if you look at recent price vs time in stocks like BGO, Drooy, VGZ, KRY ... wouldn't you conclude the optimum time probably a tad bit in the past?

I've noticed the perennial bottom is going to fall out of gold 'bears' always buy late and later justify that on the basis of risk vs reward. In a bull market this leaves a lot of mullah on the table. The bulls otoh often buy early, but due to the rocket lift offs in many pm stocks, I think this a better approach, of course as long as the bull continues to snort.

Fwiw I'm betting dog assed KGC is finally done shaking its fleas. Instead of dumping this week and going somewhere else I added to my core the other day. Mistake? I don't think so ... I think KGC is about to turn once again into a decent performer. It had a hell of a primary first wave, and should be ready to start a 3rd. According to my fibo wave generator there are multiple (an understatement) fibo hit possibilities in this broad consolidation range it has been in for nearly 2 years. However, once it clears this area the patterns and hit possibilities thin out fast. It is possible that KGC makes a run 16 (canadien) or even higher this time around.

Going out to get some sun and shovel some snow. My body is feeling sun deprived.

Action of last week or so suggests gold is moving independent of the dollar. Rather than a pull back from here I'm kind of expecting it to continue inching up and then go vertical as soon as it clears 417.

Chinese must be buying since the country has little or no reserves compared to other countries and they are converting dollar assets to gold i suspect.
