I saw part of this rally on C-SPAN. Bush was a real "happy warrier." He was laying into Kerry for his flip-flopping, and obviously enjoying every moment of it. Totally relaxed.

I watched the entire speech from beginning to end, and even though I'm not a particularly religious person, I've always thought that US govt sometimes goes out of it's way to discriminate against people of faith. That is why this particular phrase really struck a cord with me. I know it wasn't the centerpiece of his speech.....it was so full of ideas and issues......but this kind of statement could be an indication of how faith based groups and individuals will react to future assaults on religion.

We will not stand for discrimination by the federal government against people of faith.

Bush appeared relaxed, focused and presidential. All in all, I'd say this speech got me fired up.
