Amy, that Dell looks similar to the Vaio I bought my wife (then girlfriend) almost two years ago, except the Dell has the advantages of Centrino (P-M 1.2 GHz faster than my girlfriend's P3 1.2 GHz, plus it has wireless and higher battery life). Plus I think that notebook is about a pound lighter and two hundred dollars cheaper.

I say: Go for it. But do spring for some extra memory. Recently I found out even 256 megs doesn't cut it anymore.
