Over the last 20 years, I have always heard talk about how bad deficits are, yet none of the horror stories have ever come true. So I am not worried about the deficit. Secondly, the funding to the soldiers would have been delayed if we had to wait for congress to decide on budget cuts. Lastly: The soldiers would have gotten the money they needed no matter how the vote turned out So if the vote had turned out be a majority of "nays", the soldiers would have gotten the money anyway? How? When?
