What that neglects to mention is that people like Blix and Bill Clinton have both said they believed Iraq had WMD's. Those aren't exactly guys who you'd expect to back Bush. It also neglects to mention that in 1998 Kerry voted for military action (even if the US had to go it alone) because Iraq had not complied with the UN resolution from 1991. By 2002 they still hadn't and once again Kerry voted for military action. Now he backs away from that vote. In 1991 Kerry voted against military action.

Now before you guys jump all over me let me make my position clear. I don't think Bush has been a good economic president. In fairness much of the direction of the economy was already in motion before he took office but he's done little to improve things. On the war front I'm a little less critical. I'd have invaded the same countries and I wouldn't stop yet. I wouldn't pull out in June as I don't think our work is done yet. In fact, regardless of what the world thinks I'd invade Syria as well. Iran and Saudi Arabia would get a serious "come to Jesus" talk and if they didn't follow the outline they'd be next. Israel would be totally cut off in terms of economic aid and North Korea would get 1 last chance to fall in line. They would either do what Libya did or it would be over for them. They've (NK) been shipping nuclear parts and materials all over and that just can't happen. I don't want war or conflict but I don't want to wait until it can be brought to our shores in a way that will lead to global devastation.
