Didn't matter that LBJ was a liberal or a conservative Oh, but it DOES matter. As long as the fact the GWB being a Republican is an issue, it matters. (actually, he was a mixture of both). Oh. Well. I'd say the same claim can be made for GWB. Remember "Medicare prescription drug coverage"? LBJ was probably quite surprised to learn the enormous US military couldn't win that war. LBJ never TRIED to win it. THAT was the problem. He tried for a stalemate- -and found out his foe had more staying power than he. He would not have waged it as long as Nixon did. An assertion you can possibly prove. Your biased opinion, nothing more. Remember that Kerry lived in Massachusetts. Throughout 1972 until the war ended, I was very active with Massachusetts VVAW. Kerry never attended any VVAW meetings, gatherings or events of the Massachusetts chapter from that year on. In fact, he was pretty much persona non grata. THen would you care to explain the link that says otherwise? Now, Lazarus, do you really think Karl Rove would politically describe this situation accurately or honestly? Now, PartTime, do you really think John Kerry would politically describe this situation accurately or honestly? On this issue, if you wish to champion the side of truth then you're going to have to believe me No sir. I am only required to believe the evidence. And the evidence contradicts you. FACT: Kerry was not part of VVAW from 1972 and on. FACT: The facts say you are ignorant or dissemble.
