you are perpetuating an urban legend... One thing we liberals have to overcome as this election continues to get fought in the gutter is that the Republican Leadership has the home court advantage. I did not question Kerry's medals. I believe he got them. I have no idea what your point is unless you want us to know that Kerry is a legend in his own mind. I do question whether a US Naval Officer and Ship Commander who abandons his vessel and his men in combat 8 months early because he suffered a few minor scratches is a hero. When the going got tough, Kerry got gone. Many of us, including the NYT (in an editorial a coupla days ago) join you in hoping Kerry will elevate himself a bit higher. He looks comfortable in the gutter...but it is an unseemly place for a presidential candidate to hang around. Maybe he should consider going back to that Swiss and French finishing school accent he used while testifying in 1971. uw
