every $1 in crude price hits USEcon by $1.7 billion
which becomes a clear "tax" drag on the economy

but most Americans remain clueless as to why
it is a powerful combination of Chinese demand increase
and a falling USDollar

most Americans, pre-occupied by studio wrestling, eating french fries, watching vacant sitcoms, and shopping with credit cards to purchase unneeded items, are clueless as to what is going on

in a CNBC poll this morning, 80% thought the higher energy prices are a result of manipulation

when you have no idea what is going on, blame it on that shadowy faceless mysterious entity MANIPULATION

gasoline is still cheap by 1980 standards
home heating bills (by gas) are not cheap
but psychologically, $2 stops me from making that extra trip to a store, a theatre, a friend's house, or wherever
