Sure I have - the official statements of the Pentagon, the fact that the prisoners were physically taken from Afghanistan, confirmed by the identitities of those released. That is evidence.

And your evidence to the contrary, that would be...?

As for American civil liberties, you can be sure there are plans in the Bush Administration to call for a national emergency and suspend all rights, including elections, under the "right circumstances"

Kind of depends on the circumstances, doesn't it? After all, Lincoln suspended habeus corpus in the Civil War and we don't usually think of Lincoln as a monster of human rights abuses. Now if you think Bush is itching for a pretext to declare martial law, then your paranoia is showing. But what else is new...
