Stephen,I think that your statement is untrue.

"The trouble with many Canadians is that they dislike Americans and hate George Bush so they go against what America is for without thinking the whole thing through. "

Canadians do not dislike Americans. We dislike the American foreign policy of trying to strongarm the rest of the world into supporting their ILLEGAL invasion of Iraq.

>>The trouble with many Canadians is that they dislike Americans and hate George Bush<<

You're as completely full of sh*t as that Right Wing freak Steyn is Stephen, who doesn't get to write in any Canadian publications anymore,BTW.

Steyn is an Israeli operative out to discredit Canada for not going along with the Zionist agenda of stealing the Arab's land.

The National Post received so many complaints about his dishonesty about Canadians that they tore up his contract.

" they go against what America is for without thinking the whole thing through. ""..

Most went though the information provided by Bush and concluded the same thing.

The invasion of Iraq was a charade that was an attempt to bundle the invasion into the war on terror.

Many Americans were fooled.

Canadians by and large were not, and would like to hold the " Leader Of The Free World " accountable.

So unless you want to equate ALL Americans with the Right Wing Extremists that Canadians have litle time for, I suggest you get your facts straight before slandering Canadians on this thread.

Maybe the Right Wing Extremist thread is more to your line of thinking?

They seem to hate everyone too.

Find your Piece of mind...whereever that might be.

KC

Hi Stephen,
MBITRW: The pilfering of Iraq's oil has just ended. Saddam parcelled his country's wealth out to those companies willing to cosy up to him. The oil business will now be opened up to competitive tender. The only North American politician with a personal stake in any of this is not Bush, Cheney or any of their Texan oilpatch pals, but the Prime Minister of Canada, whose daughter is married to TotalFinaElf's biggest shareholder. The liberation of Iraq is a victory for real markets over French cronyism.

Methinks this is a tad naive. What will Cheney be doing next year or in five depending on the US election outcome... and what will he benefit from.. I doubt his ties to Haliburton are severed..

The trouble with many Canadians is that they dislike Americans and hate George Bush I think you are wrong on the American part but correct on the Bush part. More likely many Canadians impression of George Bush is of a crazy war mongering right wing bible thumping hypocrite with the interests of US big oil at heart.

Before anyone thinks I'm Bush bashing here, I'm not. Look at all US presidents of any stripe and here is a theme you may find interesting, recently posted from Stratfor which transcends the individual weaknesses and strengths of the US presidents... investorshub.com

As for Harper's win I was encouraged greatly by Ontario support but I think twmoore may have a point on Harper's overly vehement support for Bush's war on Iraq (which I personally was against). The Stronach support east of Ontario was partly a manifestation of this IMO.

Spots.

EDIT BTW his (STEYN) NGO comments were Spot on... :o)
