Wrong. Colin Powell repeatedly turned down the opportunity. He also repeatedly turned down opportunities to join the Clinton administration as Secretary of State.

McCain holds significant power in the Senate because of his status as a swing vote. I can't see him doing funerals for a Democratic administration.

...though he may become the new speaker of the house...

So McCain is going to resign from the Senate and run for a Congressional seat? I'm surprised that he did not announce that this morning. Take a nap. <gg>

I find most all posters who are anti American and obviously incorrect, rather cowardly have BLANK profiles... I plan to ignore you cowards from now on, if you had any genuine backbone, you would fill in the profile completely, then we could have a meaningful and substantive discussion...
