I oppose Bush because of his policies. I don't care if Bush used cocaine or Fonda once sat next to Kerry. I don't care.

I understand some posters keep bringing up nonsense from 20+ years ago. And I agree with you ... who cares?

I oppose Bush because of his terrible economic record.

1) 2.966 Million fewer private sector jobs today than when Bush took office.
Source: bls.gov

2) National Debt has increased $1.394 Trillion (With a "T") since Bush took office. National Debt has increased $661 Billion over the last 12 months!
Source: publicdebt.treas.gov

3) Trade: Conservative commentator Bruce Bartlett wrote this about Bush: “From the point of view of trade, it (Bush) is the worst administration since Herbert Hoover helped bring on the Great Depression by signing the Smoot-Hawley tariff in 1930.”

And this: "the Nelson Report, a strongly free-trade newsletter on international affairs, recently had kind words for John Kerry. It suggested that he is basically a free trader who understands that "without some kind of political safety valve, Congress may yet be stampeded into protectionism, which benefits no one."

Remember this: "When goods are not allowed to cross borders, armies will." Frederic Bastiat. Bush's policies are leading America into a new trade war.

I oppose Bush because of the mendacity of his administration.

I oppose Bush because of his muddled strategy against terrorism. Bush has made the strategic error of conflating al qaeda with Iraq. Bush has made the strategic error of conflating mustard gas with nuclear weapons. And Bush has failed to adequately address the cultural / economic aspects of defeating terrorism.

I oppose Bush for ignoring science and facts, especially in his assault on the environment.

I oppose Bush for his assault on the freedoms and civil liberties of Americans.

You are correct. There is no need to attack Bush for possible misdeeds over 20 years ago. Bush must be removed from office for his failed policies. Period.

RNC's smear campaign includes phony sex scandal, doctored Fonda photo, attacking candidate's wife, distorting his entire record, saying JK slandered the troops by telling about atrocities, etc. Al lies.

Hey, in that article you posted me the crazy guy in the VVAW admits he was in the Pheonix Program assassinating villagers. And look what happened, it drove him crazy. But all he was doing was following CIA orders. Those type Phoenix hits often included be-headings, disembowlings, etc. Terror was the goal. So why blame Kerry for exposing what soldiers were being ORDERED to do by Nixon's CIA? The war had gone al wrong. Someone needed to stand up and tell the truth. Who better than one of our most decorated war heros? JK showed real guts back then and has ever since. He will cut through the wall of Bushie BS and win.
