I work for the gov. here in the US, I don't think I won't be more productive if I switch my work to a private company.

You post mostly during the work day I note. A private company in Wisconsin (google) may not accept that and interpret it as theft of time. The company I worked for prior to retirement definitely would have challenged my productivity contribution if I was surfing daily. Public utilities are not reknowned for their work ethic.

Cheers

Re: ">>property rights are an incentive to work<<
why is that? I work for the gov. here in the US, I don't think I won't be more productive if I switch my work to a private company. The same thing goes for China."

The issue is partly one of switching between government and private work, indeed. A private company might ask more of you than government does, and you might then produce more to your surprise. However, the issue of productivity rising from providing property rights in China for the citizens of China (and others), is first a different one. Property is of value, and if individual and corporate private concerns may now own it, they are naturally motivated to work for it, keep it, earn with it. That the law assures government cannot take property away is one key to the incentive which I belive in. Should China truly implement property rights, I beleive you will see improvement in many ways.
