Lizzie,
I mentioned some of the companies not as crooks but as ones who fed the bubble by letting the dotComs have equipment on credit. A lot of the sales volume never showed up as cash. NT, Lucent, others had to write off the losses. And a lot of people lost their jobs.

So in my version, the tulipmania was nice while it lasted but it eventually collapsed and jobs disappeared because of it's collapse.

Returning to my previous comments, how much control would you like the government to have in a capitalist system?

So offshoring is wrong. Fine, bring back Motorola Quasar TVs and pay a lot more than you do for your present TV that is manufactured offshore.

And let's keep the #1 Fortune 500 company out of California because the entrenched union shops cannot compete?

Where would you like to stop Lizzie? I think golf balls cost too much.

Steve
