I have plenty of faith in cooling off scenarios.

1)A cooling off of US demand regardless of where rate go, on the basis that consumers will be tapped out with out jobs and without more re-financings / equity in their houses. At some point the public just gets too scared to spend.
2)A cooling of of production in China cause things are overheated.

Neither of those cooling offs has anthing to do with rising interest rates.
