<<<What Bush must be coming to see, however belatedly, is that he is out of step with the rest of the world. One by one, our allies are backing away from his simplistic logic. First Spain, then Poland distanced themselves from Bush and his war and appear to be shifting toward a stronger Europe. And it must be noted that it is the people of Europe, not their leaders, who have turned against Bush. The Pew Research Center found precipitous declines in Europe's approval of America, with support in some countries falling below 10%. Even more alarming, significant numbers of Europeans believe terror attacks on America are now justified. >>>>

Ah, but look upon the good side.

Our military is rapidly growing stronger to contend with
the hatred which appears not to have existed before March of 2003.

Then our oil companies will proper mightily and create jobs as the price of oil continues up.

Provided Al Sistani can keep the UN out of Iraq we can lock up the Iraqi oil industry. Imagine the profits when oil hits $50 bbl and we control 45% of the worlds oil reserves.

If Europe turns against us we can close the UN buildings in NY and stop wasting money on it.

So not all is lost
