The truth is that there sometimes ARE two well informed opposing positions on an issue.

As difficult as it is for some minds to grasp, the world is not a black and white place. There are almost always shades of gray and that means that good judgement and not knee jerk responses are required.

For instance, sometimes a bill is for a good cause but is so laden with deficits that it is not worthy of support. When that happens you can ALLEGE that the opposer was against the cause, but the truth is that he was against the bill. But then I'm wasting my time trying to explain this to you.
