Howy:

Jessie Livermore also said that after all his years of failure speculating in stocks he only started making money when he realized that you have to turf your losers and hold onto your winners [not vice-versa], so you did him proud! Time to make some $$$.

You were not alone Howy. I caved in on my LT position as well. Now out of CLG. I will be back but not just now I think.....

Howy,
I think you made the right decision on CLG. Clearly the gold hasn't disappeared, but less clear is when the dust will settle. Without any near-term catalysts (like drill results) it seemed to me that standing back was the safest position, so I did.

I have not added any new diamond positions since the conference but it appeared to me that those were certainly the best-attended presentations at the Investors Exchange so I can certainly see allocating more to that area. I liked the Dunsmuir presentation quite a bit but cannot buy them through my current broker. I agree on SWY, excellent presentation as usual. Eira gave an almost identical presentation at the BMO conference, so if you want to see it again, check out the recent archives from there.

I've bought Bravo Venture Group and Quaterra since returning but have been trying to be very judicious about entering new positions. Like you, I don't have a juniors problem...I can stop any time I want, I just don't want to. Fortunately, the lack of liquidity is acting as a governor. UNO looked good to me too, will have to circle back on that one. I now have to also look at everything through the crack-up boom lens to see what the exposure of each play is to what CLG just ran smack into.

Cliff Droke just put out a book on a slew of juniors. I ordered that. Northern Miner also just put out the equivalent of Mining for Dummies, which I have also ordered but which probably would not be that useful to you (you've been going at this a lot longer than I have). I'll post on these when I've received and read them. Good luck to us all!

Best,
Paul
