I’m never going to be much impressed by an Ayn Rand quote, although I have to grant some grudging, if uncomprehending, respect to anyone capable of enduring her prose. It’s the sort of respect one has for people who walk to the South Pole, or across deserts.

It's an entrepreneur thing. It surprises me, but apparently non-entrepreneurs will never understand.

I am not commenting on the "appeasement" thing, don't see the connection here.
