The only thing I'm sure of, and was from the start, is that the reasons the Bush people gave for invading and occupying Iraq were, at best, only a small portion of the basis for our actions. Whatever real motives they had will come out in years to come when the principals write their memoirs and history can judge their wisdom and motives. In the meantime, I don't like being treated like a simpleton and fed simplistic and emotional rationales by people that seem to assume that you can say anything, no matter how inconsistent or contrary to common sense, and do another.
