Plunger on the OECD..... who is the OECD? Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. This seems to be how they work: 1. Junior collects data and collates it 2. Assistant puts together a few ideas 3. Analyst runs the data through a model 4. Associate reviews the result and tweaks the model 5. Supervisor reviews the new output 6. Manager calls a meeting to discuss 7. Argumment over what the minutes of the meeting should say 8. Argument over who should write the minutes of the meeting 9. Initial draft of the report 10. Executive calls a meeting to discuss 11. Argumment over what the minutes of the meeting should say 12. Argument over who should write the minutes of the meeting 13. Report is redrafted 14. Director calls a meeting to discuss 15. Argument over what the minutes of the meeting should say 16. Argument over who should write the minutes of the meeting 17. Final report is written 18. Sent to compliance for approval 19. Compliance gets back from 6 week vacation and is snowed under 20. Report is issued 8 months after the data was collected. OECD reports have been totally out of date and totally out of phase with the market all the while I've been watching .... seriously Mish, not just because I disagree in this one instance, it's the latest of a whole string.
