Bad news: Form 8-K for SCANSOFT INC 19-Mar-2004 Other Events ITEM 5. OTHER EVENTS AND REQUIRED FD DISCLOSURE. On March 19, 2004, ScanSoft, Inc. (the "Company") announced that Paul Ricci, the Company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, has indicated that during the next 120-days he intends to exercise options to purchase as many as 750,000 shares of the Company's common stock and sell them in order to finance the purchase of a home in Massachusetts.
