I'm not sure anyone can make us totally safe from terrorism. By its very nature terror is an activity that's almost impossible to stop. Clarke wasn't able to stop the WTC bombing, Oklahoma City or the bombing on the USS Cole. So if he's the be all and end all to stopping terror how come those events weren't stopped? Bush has taken a proactive stand against terror that I support. I'll be less supportive if we pull out of Iraq in June.
