<<The hit was not a very smart thing.>>

I completely agree C2...especially in light of the concurrent American war on terrorism and the Anti-American sentiment it has progagated...most recently, the Madrid bombings...imo, this was a 'cheap and arrogant move'...this was an ailing, aging leader that indeed did commit horrific crimes...but it's clear that the 'youngsters' are doing the most damage...

Personally, I find Sharon to be an arrogant, incendiary, polarizing person and leader...it was his defiant visit to Palestine's holy site 4 years ago that spurned the current intifada...at the sometimes not so evident cost to Israel and Palestinian and world...others may argue it was PA's decision to react violently...but the truism, know your enemy...rings very true...

For disclosure:...my husband was Jewish before he died from causes completely unrelated to Israel/Palestine issues...

Regards,
Zeta

The hit was not a very smart thing.
C2
As unfortunate as it may seem, killing terrorists is the only strategy that has worked in my lifetime.

The alternatives? Don't ask me,

That is the problem...You can't ask anyone else either...There are none.
This is a fight to the death. Americans need to get that straight and now.
