James, F.Y.I., there was some talk of changes to the laws covering taxation of distributions from royalty trusts in Canada, although the government is not changing the tax rules at this time.

Canadian income trusts are currently very popular due to their high yield and favourable tax treatment. However, since they don't have a maturity date where they pay back principal, they will be a lot more volatile than bonds when rates rise.
