Yes, funny how that works. Posting is a little like some form of literary performance art. I find that email serves that purpose for me as well. I have a couple of friends that I write back and forth to -- often sending flurries of wild letters back and forth to produce some hilariously outrageous essays. I suppose it's the instantaneous feedback that provides much of the motivation to write.
