interesting light reading article on survivors in telecom (of course Cisco is #1 survivor but others are mentioned) Who's Winning in the Rebound? lightreading.com The last-place finisher was Corvis Corp. (Nasdaq: CORV - message board), followed closely by Ciena Corp. (Nasdaq: CIEN - message board) and Lucent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: LU - message board). I thought LU had a pulse. But the last CIEN call was indeed really bad. The strange thing about CIEN is that the component makers like JDSU are starting to rebound. Somebody is buying optical.
