I am surprised. Maybe it's a matter of party affiliation. The current Israeli ambassador to Germany, Shimon Stein, defends the assassination. Israelischer Botschafter Stein weist Kritik der EU zurück de.news.yahoo.com I would expect Israeli and German leaders to accept that other countries may use the same tactics that Germany used so successfully against the German Baader-Meinhof terrorists. The majority of Baader-Meinhof members were caught alive and jailed. Some have even been released in the meantime, they all regret their deeds now.
