And how many known terrorists were given sanctuary in Pakistan? An Indian Airlines jet was hijacked to Kandahar and the hijackers after killing a few passengers fled overland to Karachi Pakistan.

Ramsey Yousef was given sanctuary in Phillipines by the Abu Sayyaf group.

Regarding Abdul Rahman Yasin, Clinton knew about the sanctuary he got in Iraq. But they did not consider it necessary to go after him. He was a small fish. iNstead they wanted to go after the big fish. And that is what what those missile strikes against Osama was all about.

And finally, the intelligence very clearly pointed to no connection of Iraq to 9/11, Instead it pointed heavily to AQ connection.

The strategic direction should be to pursue AQ for diminishing the terror threat. It is not Iraq. That is borne by the fact that even though Saddam is gone, there are ongoing terror bombings in Spain, Turkwy, Iraq, Indonesia et. al.
