Rice doesn't want to answer since there is too much evidence contradicting her claim of who could have foreseen an event such as 9/11. Rumsfeld said yesterday that even if they had taken out bin Laden prior to 9/11, it would have happened anyway!! Bush was on vacation all of August 2001 - at his "family ranch" in Crawford, the one just built and ready for occupancy the day he took office. Any other president would be taking the stage front and center during such crises. Nixon spoke to the American public, though he was lying. Clinton did, though he was lying. Bush has so many people speaking for him, contradicting one another, it's hard to keep track. BTW, I just saw that Jeopardy is taping production of next month's show that features "power players" including Tim Russert, Al Franken and Ari Fleischer. It might be the first time Ari Fleischer will ever have to give a straight answer. :)
