get on Interstate 10 near ozona, texas, sometime and notice the hundreds of wind turbines up on the mesas out there. it goes on for about 20 miles (so it appeared to me). that will give you an idea how much physical space these things require. there is sufficient wind out there almost all the time. these things don't make a gnat's eyelash of a dent in fossil fuel use. nuclear is the way to go for electricity, until something else is more cost effective and safer.
