I have always been suspicious that that this change in keyboard design was part of an evil plot to kill WordPerfect.

You;re right. You're paranoid. But we knew you were nuts anyway, so this is no surprise. Ansd, yes, the redesugn of the keyboard layout is another plot by the Evil Empire.
